LA FAGGETTA

Mount Calacata

The Faggetta quarry, located on Mount Calacatta, finished his first operation in the 1990s. The difficulty of extracting its materials with the technologies of the time made the extraction very complicated. Venturini Marmi has acquired  the concession in 2017 and has dealt with the recovery of this heritage, adapting the extraction with non-invasive techniques and with a tunnel extraction process.

A TUNNEL IN THE MOUNTAIN

La Faggetta quarry extracts from tunnels excavated in the heart of the mountain. This technologically complex technique allows to advance on the different “fronts” going through variations of colors and grains, like pages of a book.

AN EXTREMELY HARD MARBLE

All the extracted material is characterized by a very fine and compact grain.

An extremely hard, crystalline, poorly absorbent material, ideal for resisting the various uses over time. The simple observation of how the stone "splits" and breaks in the extraction process shows the hardness of this material.
